Technopolis built a new building in the Finn-Medi area for the Pirkanmaa Hospital District’s Eye Centre and the Norwegian Norlandia Care’s Patient Hotel. The building is a unique complex in Finland, as it houses Technopolis\u2019 rentable office spaces, a mini hospital that specialises in ophthalmology, and a high-quality hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located adjacent to the Tays hospital area, the Eye Centre has brought together various treatment units that were previously scattered across the hospital grounds, creating a highly functional entity with the goal of meeting the growing demand for eye disease treatment in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The patient hotel is one of its kind in Finland. The hotel is located in the same building as the Eye Centre but is designed to serve all kinds of hotel guests. The border between the patient hotel and the Eye Centre’s inpatient ward can be adjusted as needed. The building is connected to other hospital buildings via a tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel includes 130 hotel rooms and a high-quality restaurant that was designed on the ground floor of the building for the enjoyment of hotel guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our office collaborated with Arkkitehtiryhm\u00e4 Reino Koivula Oy in the planning of the hospital facilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
