The JN Logistics Centre comprises two large terminal halls: JN-60 and JN-61, along with a separate office building, JN-59. This logistics centre is situated on the outskirts of the logistics and port area of Vuosaari Harbor.

The terminal halls operate on a flow-through principle. On the side facing the harbour area, there is an extensive container yard for container transfer and unloading. The terminal hall’s floor on the container yard side is at ground level, facilitating easy movement of forklifts and the transfer of cargo units indoors.

Inside, the terminal floor is gently sloped along the entire length of the building frame. This achieves an optimal loading height for trucks and distribution vehicles when they arrive on the truck yard side. Transport vehicles are loaded on a covered loading dock with ample space for loading truck traffic. The loading dock features multiple hydraulically raised loading bridges as well as dedicated areas for specialised loading.

The JN-60 terminal hall is divided into six sections, each with its own specialised function. One of the halls is a heavy-duty facility designed for the storage of extremely heavy or oversized cargo. Other specialised areas include temperature-controlled storage, cold storage, classified material storage, and food-grade storage. Terminal hall JN-61 is a railway hall with a terminal rail line extending inside, allowing the loading or unloading of entire trains within the indoor space.

The JN-59 building is a three-story office structure that includes customer service areas, open-plan and private office spaces, meeting rooms, and social facilities.

The terminal halls are constructed of steel and have exterior walls filled with mineral wool insulation and covered with metal-faced sandwich panels. The office building has a concrete frame, and its exterior surface features a thin metal sheet covering.
