Finnmedi Delta is a building where one can find the Pirkanmaa Hospital District Laboratory Centre and the facilities of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). The building was designed to provide space for the school’s physiotherapy, radiography, and laboratory education programs. The facilities include features such as a therapy pool and teaching laboratories.

The Laboratory Center includes a modern clinical laboratory linked to TAYS (Tampere University Hospital) by an elevated walkway. It comprises an industrially efficient automation laboratory that analyses samples from Pirkanmaa and neighbouring municipalities, a blood centre, and a chemistry laboratory. The building also houses the current laboratories for pathology, microbiology, and genetics. Additionally, the Laboratory Centre includes administrative, research, and equipment maintenance facilities.

Upon completion, these facilities were unique in Finland. During the planning phase, inspiration was drawn from new laboratories in the Netherlands and Denmark. The building combines laboratory education and production under one roof.
