Pirkkalakeskus, the Pirkkala Centre, was built next to Suupantori square in the centre of Pirkkala. The building houses residential units, commercial spaces, municipal offices, and a library. The aim of the project was to create a modern and urban complex that revitalises the town centre and provides an opportunity to live close to downtown services. In the design of the residential units, the unobstructed lake views of two lakes were utilised.

Safety and functionality took priority in the design of the outdoor areas. High-quality and durable materials were used in the structures, with attention paid to the building’s life-cycle costs. The residential towers have entrances through a sheltered inner courtyard. On the inner courtyard, a rooftop terrace accessible via a tall gateway was constructed on top of the library. From the terrace, there is a view over Naistenmatkantie to lake Pyhäjärvi.
