A proposal for a competition to allocate land for the 2026 Housing Fair in Lempäälä.

The planned terraced house is a maze of building elements, creating private courtyard space for the apartments, both covered and open. The plan consists of four two-storey apartments, each with a single-storey section with a private carport, storage/utility room and glazed terrace. The apartments will be staggered on the plot in line with the existing ground levels.

The main entrance overlooks the garden through the dwelling. The main living area faces south-west. It is open plan and can be furnished in a variety of ways. The kitchen faces the morning sun and has direct access to the covered terrace. The utility room, located in the cool northern corner, is accessed from the main entrance and can also be used as a kitchenette. The main room is high and receives plenty of natural light from a tall window. The upper floor can be flexibly transformed into rooms or open space thanks to large sliding doors. Skylights provide light to the upper floors. The upper floor of one of the apartments is proposed as a living area opening into the main space.
